Possession
Directed by Andrzej Żuławski
Banned upon its original release in 1981, Andrzej Żuławski’s stunning nightmare of a marriage unraveling is an experience unlike any other. Professional spy Mark returns to his West Berlin home to find his wife Anna insistent on a divorce. As Anna’s frenzied behavior becomes ever more alarming, Mark discovers a truth far more sinister than his wildest suspicions. With its pulsating score, visceral imagery, and some of the most haunting performances ever captured on screen, Possession is cinematic delirium at its most intoxicating.

A surreal psychological masterpiece that entrances, disturbs, and demands rewatching. Not for those looking for cheap scares or a straightforward plot.
Good to see this in its full uncut version. Surreal, disturbing and not for everyone. It's oddly compelling even in the long sections where the characters philosophize with each other.
So thrilled this movie is streaming on here. It's so bizarre and haunting and surreal. Definitely a maddening and confusing film to watch and I thoroughly enjoyed all of it. I totally get why a lot of people would hate this but I love strange horror movies and this is all kinds of strange.
Surreal, disturbing, hauntingly beautiful dissection of seperation, female rage, and identity.
